LG_G3_OfficialThe LG G3 is finally official! Finally the momentous day has arrived where LG has pulled out all the stops and made their next generation flagship smart phone an official device. Months of leaks, rumors and speculation have all come to this and now those rumblings can officially stop as the G3 is here and ready to compete with the likes of Samsungs GS5 and HTC’s One M8! So now that LG has announced their new device the real war for Android flagship supremacy can begin! But what does the G3 have to compete with? Well a lot actually!

The LG G3 has been leaking out into the headlines for quite some time now and today, LG has finally made the device a reality. The launch will commence tomorrow in South Korea and continue to roll out to around 170 carriers in June. All major carriers in the US including Verizon, At&t, T-Mobile and Sprint will also be offering the device while Sprint will have the exclusive rights to sell the gold G3. While pricing on the device is still in the wind, a well known retailer in the UK currently has the device up for pre-order at £499 which is a good indicator of the devices overall price point. The new G3 starts with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD touch screen display that is said to be 77% of the devices front panel! With nearly no bezel at all the screen offers up a 1440×2560 resolution at a whopping 538 pixels per inch. Inside of the finished to look metal, plastic housing you’ll find a highly capable Qualcomm made Snapdragon 801 system chip that uses a quad core 2.5 GHz processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of built in storage and expandable micro SD memory options up to 128 GB. Powering this is a huge 3000 mAh battery. Around back of the G3 among its rear mounted buttons is a 13 mega pixel camera with dual LED flash and video recording up to 4K! Up front a 2.1 mega pixel camera is available for all your selfie needs. Running the show we find Android version 4.4.2 alongside connectivity such as 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB, NFC and DLNA. Offered up in black, white, gold, pink or purple the G3 should be a rather excellent device to own!
