New details give LG’s G2 a 5.2 inch screen! We have all seen the G2 namesake in the past. Not so long ago LG used the name by producing the LG G2x. HTC however used the name as well with at least two different devices. LG is now bringing the name back and it is sure to stand out in the crowd. LG while usually never in the forefront of the market place like Samsung or Apple continues to innovate and help set the bar for mobile gadgets to come in the future. The latest LG G2 is no different and brings some unexpected, but rather logical design cues into the smart phone fold!
The LG Optimus G2 as it was called was originally leaked out into the wild back in April. The device was claimed as having “something unique” about it in regard to its design. Since its initial leak details surrounding the handset have been all over the place. Back in June LG all but confirmed the G2’s existence by stating the device would come with a Qualcomm made Snapdragon 800 processor. Just last week however details of what the G2 would offer by way of unique design was exposed. The G2 is set to be built around an impossibly thin frame, so much so, the power and volume rocker buttons of the device would need to be rear mounted. New details surrounding the G2 however have given it specific screen size and camera stabilization. Previous reports surrounding the G2 gave it a 5 inch HD screen, rear mounted button sets, 2 GB of RAM, and of course a Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz quad core processor. Yesterday new bits of information have been published by UnwiredView.Com and claim the G2 will come with a 5.2 inch full 1080P HD touch screen and further confirm its 13 mega pixel camera with feature OIS aka optical image stabilization. Unfortunately, there is no more information surrounding the device, however at the rate its leaking we’ll most likely know everything there is to know about the G2 by the time it is expected to be announced August 7th.
