The HTC Desire 500 is the companies’ fourth device to be launched this year and it brings a new device into the mid range sector. Announced today in Taiwan the new HTC Desire 500 won’t be found listed anywhere as a flagship device, but it will however hold its own against the competition. The Desire 500 is set to run with Android Jelly Bean out of the gate and of course will provide its end users with the HTC Sense 5 UI experience with a dash of HTC’s Blinkfeed. Physically the Desire 500 is set to come with a 4.3 inch WVGA quality touch screen that is embedded into a rather slim 9.9mm build. Internally the device is set to come packing a more than capable Qualcomm made Snapdragon 200 quad core CPU that clocks in at 1.2 GHz. The Desire 500 also sports 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory and expandable micro SD memory up to 64GB. Around back you’ll find an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash with an additional front facing shooter that sports a 1.6 mega pixel sensor. Additionally the Desire 500 sports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA and GPS connectivity. The handset also sports Beats Audio and an all day 1800 mAh battery.
