Motorola’s Moto G Ready to run Android KitKat for American Launch

The Motorola Moto G announced and set for its American debut with Android 4.4 Kitkat running the show! Ah, the Moto G! So if you have been living under a rock lately or simply not really that interested, Google bought out Motorola’s mobile division and began their Moto line up of smart phones. The first piece of hardware from the pairing introduced us to the every customizable and downright awesome Moto X. The X as it stands is currently the company’s flagship handset and plans of their mid range are coming into fruition.

Wednesday, November 13th, Motorola introduced the Moto G to the world from a shindig somewhere in London. The day before the announcement a German retailer spilled the beans on what exactly to expect from the Moto G. The event however stated the Moto G would be running with Android version 4.3 out of the box and this is indeed quite true. However, Omio a mobile new website has gotten a word from a Motorola executive the “wave 2 products that we ship after Christmas, will start with Kitkat”. Wave 2 is said to include the “US, South East Asia and other countries”. So, put plainly, the Motorola Moto G will be running Android version 4.4 when it makes its way stateside! The stats for the Moto G go something like this! It starts with a 4.5 inc 720p touch screen and gets its go from a quad core Qualcomm made Snapdragon 400 processor that clocks in at 1.2 GHz. Internally the device will house 1 GB of RAM, either 8 or 16 GB of storage and an all day 2070 mAh battery. The 8 GB version is said to be priced at 1$179 bucks and the 16 GB variation at $199. The Moto G went live on Wednesday in Europe and Brazil and will begin its launch journey across the world starting in early January. The Moto G will also begin its selling in Latin America, Canada and parts of Asia in the coming weeks.
